1992 Gibson B.B. King Lucille – Cherry Red (All-Original w/ Pink Shroud Case)

Up for sale is a stunning, highly collectible 1992 Gibson B.B. King Lucille in its rare and highly sought-after Cherry Red finish. Built during Gibson's highly regarded "good wood" era, this instruments serial number dates its production at the Nashville plant in May of 1992. This guitar features a laminated maple body with a solid center block and no f-holes—B.B. King's signature design to fight feedback on stage. It comes fully loaded with an ebony fretboard, block inlays, the 6-position Varitone switch, stereo/mono outputs, and the original gold TP-6 fine-tuning tailpiece.
Condition Notes: Its a 34 year old guitar with light signs of natural age and play wear minor surface scratches and light finish checking on the body from normal handling.
Finish Checking Line: There is a distinct, purely cosmetic finish checking line running from the bottom of the TP-6 tailpiece down to the bottom strap button (see photos). This is strictly in the nitrocellulose lacquer and does not affect the wood or structural integrity.
Hardware: The original gold hardware shows a beautiful, light natural patina/tarnishing consistent with age.
A truly great example of the Lucille from an amazing time in Gibsons history doesn't come by often.
